The whole team at NetherRealm is very excited to add the Joker as the latest guest fighter to join the Mortal Kombat 11 rost. The Clown Prince of Crime is a simple fit and a welcome addition to the Mortal Kombat universe. Though we've worked with the character of The Joker before, our composers and painters were released to discover the depths of his madness more than ever. The result is a very sharp and violent version of The Joker built into our studio.
There are many examples of gameplay illustrations of this dark depiction, including The Joker & # 39; s Fatal Blow, in which a well-known comedian pushes his enemies to a ranch-filled plate, a central theme in Jason Todd's beating in an ancient Batman comic book. : Death in the Family.
Of course, this courtesy of The Joker is just one of many. Mortal Kombat fans are great supporters when we honor the past of the character so our creative team is always trying to dig. There are cinema events that translate panels for the popular comic book, dialogue paying tribute to the memorable and moving parts of The Joker and moments reminiscent of his previous visit to the Mortal Kombat universe.
The Mortal Kombat 11 concert with DC Comics does not end there. Our studio had a lot of fun designing new skins made from mashup characters from both. It's almost Halloween in January as Kitana plays Katek's short-lived Outworld, Baraka transforms into a recurring Killer Croc and Gera is reborn as the Time Lord of Apokolips, completely disappearing into Darkseid. It's skinny for my favorite skin group but it should be a version of Batman Who Laughs for Noob Saibot as the awesome Blight Knight. A perfect mix of characters and good balance for Mortal Kombat 11.
Don't forget, the Joker DLC drops on January 28 as part of its initial access time The Kombat Pack
