‘Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi’ (‘Josee, the Tiger and the Fish’) finally arrives in the United States and Canada in a special function thanks to the streaming service Funimation.
The wait has been long for those who were waiting for ‘Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi’, but the good thing is that some fans will just have to have a little more patience, until July 12 and 14.
It is on these days that Funimation’s special features will be available in the United States and Canada, featuring the film with English dubbing or original audio with subtitles.
The tickets will begin their pre-sale next Friday, June 18, leaving all those who acquire them a month from seeing the animated adaptation of the novel by Seiko Tanabe.
The cinemas whose theaters will have the film available in both countries are currently unknown. However, in the course of the week, Funimation is expected to provide further updates.

A youth romantic drama with personal growth overtones, the story centers on the college student Tsuneo and the dreamy Josee, who lives her life trapped in a wheelchair. Josee, named after Françoise Sagan’s Wonderful Clouds heroine, spends most of her days reading and painting until she happens to run into Tsuneo and decides it’s time to face the real world.
