Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection launches January 28 on the PlayStation 5 console — and we’re excited to start the adventures all over again! Remastering Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy has been an incredible journey, and we hope you have a great experience in your own adventures back home.
We’ve come a long way since we first launched Drake, Chloe and their cohorts into the world for the first time, and we’re thrilled that our foray into exploiting what the PS5 has to offer will be these two single-player adventures in a titular collection. The remaster sees not one standalone adventure, but two – and as detailed in our previous PS Blog post, both take advantage of PS5 wireless controller and DualSense functionality and include graphical updates to make Uncharted: Legacy of Truly cinematic and blockbuster Thieves Collection. scope.
Putting this trailer together at Naughty Dog was an exercise in revisiting favorite moments and sharing what we loved about the franchise and making sure those moments come to fruition in the cut so that new and returning players are drawn in. in the world of Uncharted. When we collectively look at how Naughty Dog has developed the Uncharted series over the years, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy are truly special for many reasons. For example, U4 has helped us dramatically improve almost every aspect of our animation. Our richly detailed cinematics could now play in real time, which paved the way for a smooth experience to and from gameplay. We also layered physics and procedural animations into our animations. All of this helped create believable characters, tighter responsiveness, fluidity, and an ability to react to their surroundings, leading to a groundbreaking moment.
With PS5 technology, we’re excited to share the stories of Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer on this generation of consoles with even greater detail and fidelity in tandem. None of this would have been possible without the talent and innovations of the imaginative and ambitious team we have – we are constantly impressed.

As a reminder, players who own Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy or Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End & Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Digital Bundle can upgrade to Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Digital Version for 10 USD / GBP 10 $ from January 28, 2022, launch date of the collection*.
Uncharted Movie Ticket Offer
While we talk about the cinematic quality of the Uncharted series, now you have the chance to experience the adventures both on your PS5 and on the big screen! Until February 3, 2022, 11:59 p.m. PT / February 4, 2022, 3:59 a.m. GMT, players from certain countries can purchase or upgrade to Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS5 via PlayStation Store and receive a voucher code for a standard ticket to see the Uncharted movie at participating theaters from February 2022.**
