The trailer revealed the map of the games for the first time, along with how you’ll travel across great distances. In the usual Little Devil Inside fashion, everything looks very polished and possibly beautiful in its art style.
According to a PlayStation blog post accompanying the trailer, the developers state that Regardless of the mission content, you can roam the world map. You can travel on foot, on horseback (or mule, to be exact), in vehicles and, of course, by train.
The game is not about leveling up the character as fast as you can and speeding up the execution of all the content. As such, the rhythm of the game is designed to try to touch the emotions of the player by giving him enough time and space and allowing him to “take in” the various atmospheres. Therefore, there are no fast trips.
One of our technical challenges is of course trying to make the transition between world map travel view and real-time view as seamless as possible, and we are working hard on this.
