Closer and closer to its end. Muneyuki Kaneshiro’s manga ‘Jagaaaaaan’ announced that its story will end with the publication of volume 14.
The announcement was published this Friday between the pages of volume 13 of Kaneshiro’s work, preparing fans for the launch of its next edition in the fall season 2021.
Previously, the manga confirmed in November 2020 that the story had reached the final battle, so this announcement is sure not to take fans of the author’s mystery, drama and horror by surprise.
In the story, we see life from the perspective of Shintarou Jagasaki, a neighborhood police officer, who lives with his girlfriend while working at a trade that is slowly killing him with boredom.
Not only is work a bottomless pit, their relationship, which is slowly heading towards a marriage destined for failure, couldn’t be more mundane and boring, causing Jagasaki to consider whether a bleak and dreamless future is what he wants.
Just when he thinks his life will never change, on his way home our protagonist boards the usual train, to meet a horrible creature that allows him to feel the call of his vocation.
As a policeman, Jagasaki confronts the beast, to discover that his right hand has the ability to transform into a weapon that fires a kind of energy, changing his life forever.
For its part, ‘Jagaaaaaan’ began its publication in February 2017 on the pages of the magazine Big Comic Spirits of the publisher Shogakukan, with the story and illustrations by Muneyuki Kaneshiro.
The manga is available in our region through the Crunchyroll service, in which the chapters were published at the same time as its launch in Japan and with English translation.
