When starting a game, you can choose from seven different testers, and you'll be able to unlock more as you play: all based on actual historical figures. Choosing an inspector is important, and it depends on your plan. Here are some of our favorite characters.
Ada Lovelace was a British mathematician and author known for his work on Babbage's first general purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. It is often viewed as the first computer program. In the Games, Ada Lovelace is a finishing toucher. His British counterpart Soldier is a good source of remorse from the war, and the team's well-integrated dice allow for good combos. She also starts with the Abacus item, which helps unlock stone circles around the statues.
Howard Phillips Lovecraft he was an American writer who gained fame after his influential works on horrific rumors. In The Curious Expedition he is a unique and powerful explorer. Though his max sanity level is quite low, his early friends and gun are well worth the hunting strategy. Lovesters is the only explorer that starts with the Necronomicon thing: his character has great potential to get good results (such as pages and soft pages) in book use.
Harriet Tubman he was an African-American dissolutionist, socialist, and – during the American Civil War – a Union spy. Born into slavery, Tubman escaped and thereafter performed thirteen other works to rescue about seventy family and friends. We recommend using this character in the game if you want to go with the pacifist plan. He arrives armed with an enormous amount of gear and firearms, both of which can be used to escape / avoid enemies. His Dream View helps unlock remote areas, expanding the map view.
