Genshin Impact developer myHoYo has released a new trailer showing exactly what the new playable character Sayu can do. Sayu, tuned in to Anemo and wielding Claymore, will join the popular free video game on August 10 alongside the new playable character Yoimiya, tuned in to Pyro and wielding a bow. Sayu is a 4-star character that does not appear to be unique to any particular banner, so the little adventurer should be available to draw through different character banners once released.

Sayu is voiced in English by Lily “Lilypichu” Ki, while the character’s Japanese voice actor is Aya Suzaki. MiHoYo describes Sayu as a support character who attacks and heals with abilities that do both. She is essentially defined by both her laziness and how small she is, and is a member of the secret organization Inazuman Shuumatsuban. His abilities allow him to curl up into a kind of whirlpool ball, as well as summon a friend, a Muji-Muji Daruma, who stays for a bit and heals allies or damages enemies, as needed at the time. .

As noted above, Sayu is officially set to join the popular free video game as part of an upcoming character banner on August 10 alongside new additional character Yoimiya. Genshin Impact version 2.0, “The Immovable God and Euthymia,” was recently released and brought new characters, missions and more to the popular video game. Genshin Impact itself is currently available, free of charge, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. The video game will also eventually release for the Nintendo Switch.
