Revealed by Ubisoft yesterday, the Containment event sees the Consulate taken over by the Chimera bacteria. The bacteria have created the Proteans, monstrous versions of other operators in the game! REACT affiliated operators will need to manage the outbreak and prevent the bacteria from spreading further. The REACT operators will assume the role of attackers in the event, while the Proteans will be the defenders. The event is scheduled to begin on August 3 and will run until August 24.
In Containment mode, the attackers try to destroy the chimera nests, while the defenders try to protect them. The main nest of the chimera is invulnerable until the two secondary nests are destroyed. The attackers can win by destroying these nests, while the defenders win by holding the line. Either team wins if the other is annihilated. Operators that will be attackers in the mode include Ace, IQ, Amaru, Blackbeard, Zero, and more. Meanwhile, defenders in the mode include Aruni, Jager, Kaid, Mira, and Warden. Defenders have no weapons, but do have melee attacks, including Aruni’s strike. They can also run and climb hatches like Oryx.
During the event, players can obtain a total of 33 items from the Containment Collection. By logging in during the event, players will get a free bundle, which will contain some items from the collection. There will be 10 different Operator Packs featuring weapon skins, uniforms, and headgear. As in previous events, players can purchase Operator Packs for 1680 R6 Credits each, or Alpha Packs which will be priced at 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown.
