Ever since I left Square Enix in 2017 (editor's note: Wan Hazmer was the lead game designer on Final Fantasy XV), I've learned a lot about what it takes to introduce the game as a new indie studio. Like any other indie band, it was a journey full of challenges and success stories, and I'm so grateful to our Sold Out partners for their support and making our dreams of launching the collectors program a reality. I am pleasantly surprised everyone gets their hands on this game soon.
Of course, being indie means this might be the first time you've been inducted into No Straight Roads, so if you're wondering if that's all this, let me explain…!
No Straight Roads is an action-adventure game that brings together rhythmic combat with a confusing world of offbeat and deadly soundtrack. In fact, music plays a key role in this game, and while No Direct Methods is not a rhythm game, listening to music can be a valuable skill in fighting. This means that while enemies are attacking to strike, players can attack, assemble, jump and move freely in a full-blown third-party battle, while listening to ways to dodge enemy attacks.
The show attacks members of the beloved indie rock band, Mayday and Zuke, in opposition to the EDM empire NSR, which has firmly clung to Vinyl City and ruined other forms of music. Playing as Mayday and Zuke, it is up to you to lead the music revolution in Vinyl City and fight against the NSR music megastars.
Because music is so important to No Straight Roads, we have been working with such great artists as James Landino, Andy Tunstall, Funk Fiction, Masahiro “Godspeed” Aoki, Az Samad and Clyde, and our music director Falk Au Yeong, delivering unbelievably consistent sounds between EDM and rock as you progress. at each stage. We are so excited about the soundtrack that we really wanted to share one track with you today, and give you a taste of what's to come in the full game.
We are also excited to give you a new look at 1010, the top NSR players team and the coolest team in Vinyl City. Get ready for great speed against these stylish stars in pop music encounters like anything you've ever seen before!
Thank you again for joining us on our journey. We look forward to sharing the world of No Straight Roads with you this summer.
