Square Enix External Studios ha shared a press release where he celebrates the launch of Outriders and reveals that the People Can Fly game has managed to surpass the 3.5 million player mark in its first month, that is, the period from April 1 to May 1.
Not bad for a new IP that comes from a not so well known studio. People Can Fly developed Gears of War: Judgment, contributed to Fortnite, and created Bulletstorm, so they have a lot of experience in shooters. However, we now know that Outriders is a huge project that they created alone and that it is much more ambitious than their previous installments.

The game focuses on cooperative gameplay, shooting and collecting loot to improve our character, so you will remember Destiny on many occasions. In any case, Jon Brooke, Head of Square Enix External Studios commented as follows:
“With more than 3.5 million unique players, average play times of more than 30 hours, and an extremely high commitment to cooperative play, we and the incredible team at People Can Fly are very excited about this initial success. Launching a new gaming IP is never easy and we remain very grateful for the support and feedback from the community; We continue to listen carefully and want to assure everyone that we are committed to improving and improving the experience in the weeks and months to come. We also hope to expand into Outriders in the future. ”
Over 3.5 MILLION unique players in #Outriders first month after launch!
THANK YOU and sorry for some troubles on Enoch.
We are committed to improving the game in the coming weeks and expanding it in the future.

Despite the achievement, the gaming community has not responded very well to the latest social media posts. We can verify this with the trailer that People Can Fly shared on YouTube in which they simply show more gameplay of this and little else. We can see a fairly balanced like / dislike percentage, when there are usually more positive interactions.
The title has been heavily criticized for bugs and yet it has a fairly high player count. So it seems that we are facing the typical game as a service with as many detractors as fans.
