New year, new games. We are all waiting for the release of great titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, Assassin’s Creed Shadows y GTA VIbut what about the smaller titles? Let's see a list with the 10 indie games —and others that may not be independent, but are smaller— that will go on sale in 2025 and that we are eagerly awaiting.
This is not a top 10, but rather a list in order of release. We will indicate the date on which each one will be released and the platforms to which it will arrive, but that information is subject to change.
Hyper Light Breaker
This is a sequel to the beloved Hyper Light Drifter 2016. This title takes place in the same universe as its predecessor, but abandons the pixelated 2D graphics to offer us a 3D multiplayer action adventure with procedurally generated scenarios.
Hyper Light Breaker will be released in early access for PC via Steam on Tuesday, January 14, 2024.
The Stone of Madness
Usually we wouldn't get so much attention from a tactical stealth game, but it's impossible to ignore the pedigree of this one since it's developed by The Game Kitchen, creators of the excellent Blasphemous y its sequel. We control five characters with different abilities who are prisoners in a mysterious sanctuary in the Pyrenees Mountains in the 18th century.
The Stone of Madness will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC on Tuesday, January 18, 2025.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Described as «Animal Crossing with characters from Hello Kitty«, which is more than enough to make many happy. In this title, which had already been released years ago for iPhone and iPad, it takes Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi and their friends to an island to revive an amusement park.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector
We continue with another sequel, this time from one of the best indie games of recent years. We control another android escaping from those who enslaved him in a role-playing game in which we must roll dice to assign different actions each day. This time we have a ship and equipment at our disposal that will help us survive.

Cabernet
This is a perfect game for vampire lovers. In Cabernet We control Liza, a recently transformed vampire in a city in 19th century Eastern Europe. It is a 2D narrative RPG in which our decisions will determine whether Liza retains her humanity or becomes the terror of the night.
Cabernet It will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC in the first quarter of 2025.
Urban Myth Dissolution Center
This visual novel mix became one of the indie games that we most want to play in 2025 since we saw its striking manga-style characters in that great pixelated quality. In this Japanese game we control the members of an organization that is responsible for investigating and sealing magical relics, haunted places, cursed houses and more.
Urban Myth Dissolution Center It will be released for PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Bye Sweet Carole
Visually, this is the title that catches our attention the most on this list of indie games coming out in 2025. With its graphics reminiscent of Don Bluth's animated films and a bit of classic Disney, this dark fantasy by Chris Darril (Remothered) has us absolutely intrigued.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound
One of the biggest surprises we got during the presentation of The Game Awards was the announcement of a new installment of the legendary saga Ninja Gaiden developed by none other than The Game Kitchen (Blasphemous, The Stone of Madness). It will be a 2D action and platform adventure with excellent pixelated graphics.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC in the third quarter of 2025.
Neon Inferno
This title that seems to combine the gameplay of Contra with that of Wild Guns With some of the most beautiful pixel art we've ever seen, it's a 2D platform and shooter game. The year is 2055. New York has become a battleground between the police and their criminal organizations. The Family, one of those crime syndicates, sends two of its most skilled assassins—Mariana Vitti and Angelo Morano—to take control of the city by force.

Usual June
Finji —one of the most important indie game distributors and to which we owe gems like Tunic y Night in The Woods— presents this 3D action adventure with a striking animation style. We control June, a young woman with the ability to speak with ghosts who must stop a conspiracy by fighting the spectral forces that invade her town.
