Red envelopes, paper lanterns, and Chinese New Year decorations return to Dead by Daylight

As is traditional in each event, the generators, hooks and exit doors will have special decoration.

On this occasion they introduced paper lanterns. These can appear during a match instead of an unused totem. They can be used by both survivors and killers.

But the true protagonists of the event will be the red envelopes. We can find these new offerings for a limited time in the Red of Blood. If we use one, a red envelope will appear in a random place in the game and will be visible to all players, but only those who made an offering will see its aura initially. If the pack’s owner activates it, all players will see its aura.

When a pack is activated, whoever opened it will receive a random number of Blood Points, but the biggest rewards will go to its owner. The owner of the red envelope will receive 5000 Blood Points and one of the event cosmetics that we can see below.
