Anime Expo 2024 continues and on its second day Atlus has shared a new trailer for Metaphor: ReFantaziowhich gives us new details about the story of Studio Zero’s new RPG.
The trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio The film begins with Hulkenberg, dejected, lamenting her failure to protect Prince Louis. Strohl tells her that she is wrong. The hero then reveals that Louis is not dead. We then see Gallica and the hero mentioning that they need to kill him to lift the curse, which was caused after he survived a near-fatal attack. From there, we see a flashback to when Louis and the hero Metaphor: ReFantazio they met as children.
The king falls to an assassin’s sword and the Kingdom of Euchronia loses its ruler. Without a successor, the people of the Kingdom of Euchronia wonder who will become the next king? Amidst this chaos, at the king’s funeral, a “magic” is invoked that no one could have seen coming.
“On Hero’s Day of the tenth month… on the day my soul truly departs from this world, the one who has gathered the greatest trust of the people of the land will become the next king.”
The sky had suddenly resounded with the voice of a king who was supposedly dead. In exchange for his life, the king devised a great magic that would allow the nation to compete for the throne through a national vote. To carry out his mission, the protagonist launches into a campaign for the throne that will engulf the entire kingdom.
Since the first trailer was released Project Re Fantasycode name of this project that we now know as Metaphor: ReFantazioAtlus RPG fans were eager to know the release date. Fortunately, during the special ‘showcase’, the Japanese developer confirmed that the worldwide release date of Metaphor: ReFantazio It will be on Friday, October 11, 2024 for PS4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X y PC vía Steam.
