Anime Expo 2024 continues and on its second day Atlus has shared a new trailer for Metaphor: ReFantaziowhich gives us new details about the story of Studio Zero’s new RPG.

The trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio The film begins with Hulkenberg, dejected, lamenting her failure to protect Prince Louis. Strohl tells her that she is wrong. The hero then reveals that Louis is not dead. We then see Gallica and the hero mentioning that they need to kill him to lift the curse, which was caused after he survived a near-fatal attack. From there, we see a flashback to when Louis and the hero Metaphor: ReFantazio they met as children.

The king falls to an assassin’s sword and the Kingdom of Euchronia loses its ruler. Without a successor, the people of the Kingdom of Euchronia wonder who will become the next king? Amidst this chaos, at the king’s funeral, a “magic” is invoked that no one could have seen coming.
