Something that the ad trailer forgot to mention is that the competitive or ‘ranked’ mode of PUBG: Battlegrounds it will continue to be paid when the game becomes free.
When PUBG: Battlegrounds becomes ‘free-to-play’ on Wednesday, January 12, 2021, a service called BATTLEGROUNDS Plus will go on sale. This will cost $ 12.99 dollars (approximately 50,000 Colombian pesos) and will include the following elements.

- Survival Mastery Experience Boost + 100%
- Access to the Career tab – Medals
- Access to custom games
- Captain’s Camouflaged Hat
- Captain’s Camouflaged Mask
- Captain’s Camouflaged Gloves
- 1300 G-COIN
All players who have purchased PUBG prior to their transition to free play they will receive access to BATTLEGROUNDS Plus at no cost, so they can continue to enjoy the competitive or ‘ranked’ mode. They will also get a commemorative package with the following items:

- Battle-Hardened Legacy Gloves
- Battle-Hardened Legacy Pants

To receive the items and features above, they need to know what to do depending on the platform they play and how they acquired the game.
- Steam: if they bought or acquired the game through a redemption code before 1:00 pm (Colombian time) on January 10, 2022.
- Xbox / Stadia– Players who have created and configured the nickname in the game after the purchase of the game, but before 1:00 pm (Colombian time) on January 10, 2022.
- PlayStation: You must purchase the PUBG – SPECIAL FREE TO PLAY TRANSITION PACK item from the PS Store for free between 2:00 am (Colombia time) on December 13, 2021 and 1:00 pm on January 10, 2022.
