The first ‘raid’ of Modern Warfare II stole almost all the attention half of season 1, but that was not the only novelty. The Building 21 zone was added to the DMZ mode map of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and you needed some pretty hard-to-get key cards to get in there, but this place mysteriously disappeared less than 24 hours after it was added and we already know when it’s coming back.
Just when the players began to notice that access had been disabled, the Infinity Ward studio —developers of this free game— published the following statement on their social networks.
“Building 21 has been locked in lockdown following a significant infiltration. The access cards have been disabled, but will be operational again this week. Get ready.”
Some players think this is an event or part of an ARG. Most likely this area was removed while they are doing balance adjustments or fixing ‘bugs’ that were discovered during their first day.
When does Building 21 return to DMZ mode from Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0?
Everything seems to indicate that we will be able to access it again just in time for Christmas, in the early morning of Saturday December 24, 2022. This date is subject to last minute changes.
To access “one of the most dangerous areas in the game”, one of the team members must get an access card. Keep in mind that this area was always meant to be a temporary zone, so it will eventually disappear again.
