Although it was already known thanks to leaks and informants, Hoyoverse has already officially confirmed that the Pyro Archon and the veteran sage of the Nightwind Augurs will arrive in the game in the next update. We are going to share the first official details about the characters coming to Genshin Impact in version 5.3 — Mavuika, Citlalí and Lan Yan — and the start date of this. These were shared through the official account of the game in Spanish on Twitter.

Lan Yan, the wicker weaver
Lan Yan is a wicker weaver from Chenyu Valley. His description on the test server says that “he has a clear, tempered mind, and is agile like a mountain spring.” It will arrive as part of the 2025 Lantern Rite celebration, which coincides with the Chinese New Year.

When do Mavuika, Citlalí and Lan Yan arrive at Genshin Impact?
The three new characters Mavuika, Citlalí and Lan Yan will be added to Genshin Impact in version 5.3, which has a start date and time on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 10:00 pm (Colombia, Peru and Ecuador time.
Although it is not officially confirmed, everything indicates that Mavuika will arrive in phase 1, while Citlalí and Lan Yan will arrive in phase 2 on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
