Thanks to the rise of games on Twitch, the excellent movie of 2023 and the tremendous success of Baldur’s Gate IIItabletop role-playing games D&D They are more popular than ever. Still, we didn’t expect this ‘crossover’. Behavior Interactive announced that its asymmetric horror game Dead by Daylight will have a collaboration with Dungeons and Dragons.
This news came along with a small teaser shared on the official account in Spanish of the game on the social network Twitter.
In the short 21 seconds that this trailer lasts we can see that one of the most iconic monsters of Dungeons and Dragons will appear in Dead by Daylight: the beholder.
However, rumors say that the murderer would be Vecna, the undead sorcerer. Vecna’s arrival to Dead by Daylight had already been leaked a long time ago, but they were referring to the Vecna of Stranger Things, not the one in the board game. That supposed leak did not come true.
Will the beholder or Vecna be the next murderer of Dead by Daylight? We will find out on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 during the special presentation of the 8th anniversary of DbD. They have already confirmed that they will say more about the collaboration with D&D over there.
