We are just learning to take advantage Alan Wake’s abilities and we now have two more new characters to get used to. Version 7.6.0 of the PTB or test server Dead By Daylight is now live and that allowed us to meet the two new characters and their ‘perks’ or abilities: the survivor Sable Ward and the murderer The Unknown.
These characters will arrive in the next DLC called “All things wicked.” You can see the trailer below.
When do these characters arrive in the game?
The release date of the survivor Sable Ward and the assassin The Unknown on the main server Dead by Daylight will be the Tuesday March 12, 2024. If you want them, you will have to buy the “All things wicked” DLC that will go on sale on that date.
‘Perks’ of the new survivor: Sable Ward
With the arrival of Sable Ward also comes a new type of survivor abilities: The invocations. They require survivors to activate a salt circle in the basement, paying a penalty in exchange for a significant upgrade.
- Summon: Weaving Spiders: takes 120 seconds. Other survivors can see the aura and will be able to join an interaction in progress, increasing speed by 50% each. If they have a summoning buff equipped, they increase it by 100%. Once the Summon is complete:
- All generators instantly get loads.
- You are left injured and in a “broken/destroyed” status for the rest of the game.
- Strength in the Shadows: Activates in the basement. Unlocks the Strength in Shadows skill, which allows you to heal without a medkit for 60% of the normal healing speed. When you finish a healing action in the basement, you see the Assassin’s aura for 6/8/10 seconds.
- Evil: This ‘perk’ starts with 1 token and you can have a maximum of five. For each Token, you recover from broken/shattered 20% faster. For every 15 seconds you spend in the basement, you earn 1 token. While affected by the “cursed” status effect, you heal 8/9/10% faster.
Skills and perks of the new assassin: The Unknown
This has to be one of the most chilling killers in the game.
Let’s first get to know the special abilities of the new assassin.
- Assassin’s Power: Press the button to load. When ready, press the Attack button to launch a projectile that bounces and creates an explosive area upon impact. Survivors are hindered if they are hit by lightning while in the air. Survivors who touch the explosion area are weakened and lose health statuses if they are touched by the explosion area. Survivors lose “weakness” as they stare at the stranger.
- Special Ability – Hallucinations: The Stranger creates Hallucinations intermittently but not when the projectile is charged, when interacting, or when near map objects such as hooks. Each time survivors are touched by the explosion area or weakened, the spawn time of the next hallucination is reduced by 10 seconds.
- Special Skill – Teleport: The Stranger can teleport into the Hallucinations, leaving behind a temporary decoy. Survivors can remove hallucinations from the game with the Dispel skill. Weakened survivors take longer to dispel. If the Dispel action is not completed, the survivors are weakened and activate the Killer’s Instinct.
Now let’s look at its perks.
- Without consolidating– Activates for 24/27/30 seconds after a Survivor is injured by any means. After jumping a window, you gain 5% Haste for 10 seconds. This effect cannot stack with itself.
- Sudden– When you perform the “Kick/Break” action on a Generator, the Terror Radius is transferred to the Generator for 22/26/30 seconds and its radius is set to 32 meters. You gain Undetectable for that duration and the ability will cool down for 30 seconds.
- Undone: When a Survivor fails a healing or repair skill check, they gain 3 Tokens or tokens, up to a maximum of 18/24/30 tokens. When you perform the “Kick/Break” action on a Generator, if you have Tokens, it consumes all of them. For each Token consumed, the Generator loses 1% of total progress and is then locked for 1 second. Once the Generator is unlocked, it begins to reverse. 60 second cooldown.
The survivor Sable Ward and the murderer The Unknown are not the only news that will be Dead by Daylight in this update. They will also add the new map ‘Greenville Square’.
