The collaboration with Junji Ito It was not the only thing that was announced in the special presentation at the end of November. We also learned the start date, when it ends, the first details, the new map and the rewards and skins that we can get in Cold in the Bones 2024 (Bone Chill), the winter event of Dead by Daylight.
When does the Cold in the Bones 2024 (Bone Chill) winter event start? Dead by Daylight?
This year, the winter event kicks off on Thursday, December 12, 2024 and will run until Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
What does the event consist of?
Just like last year, snowmen are back and both killers and survivors can hide inside them. There will also be some 'trap' dolls that will alert the other players, in addition to giving us a good scare. What's new is that some snowmen will move on their own without having a player inside. You can also leave a 'trap' snowman costume behind.
We can also collect Snow Skulls that we can throw at the other players or at the snowmen to discover if anyone is hiding inside. Another novelty is that we can change the skulls for the ability to turn into a snowman whenever we want..
The 2024 version of the Bone Chill event will debut a new type of winter offerings. We can exchange them for Blood Points or use them to start a game with six snow skulls in our possession. They can also spawn special chests in a match that will contain rare items, including firecrackers.
During the event it will not be necessary to play games with snowmen and snow skulls. It will also be possible to choose to play normal games.
New permanent map
During the event the new Dead by Daylight winter map will be released: the Lake Orman Mine. This will stand out for having an entire underground section under the ice and “a surprise” that they have not revealed yet.
Additionally, this new map will have winter and Christmas decorations for the event, just like the rest of the Kingdom of Orman.
Cold in the Bone Winter Rewards 2024 (Bone Chill)
During the event we will have an exclusive two-level Tome in which we can complete missions to claim cosmetic items as rewards. To start, we will have 'skins' for Nia and for The Huntress.
Is that the horse Maurice?
We can also win Frozen Weapons and glowing eyes for the Killers, Winter Shirts for the survivors, pendants, profile pictures and banners.
Finally we will have rewards (Blood Points, Iridescent Fragments, etc.) for logging in. Dead By Daylight from December 3, 2024 until the end of the Cold in the Bone event on January 7, 2025.
