Warhorse Studios and PLAION have presented the first official video of gameplay of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 during Gamescom 2024, just as promised in the first trailer seen at Opening Night Live. In this video, a 25-minute segment of pure gameplay could be seen where Henry, the protagonist, travels through Bohemia in 1403.
In the video, the narrator gives us a brief introduction to put us in context of the mission that we will see in the gameplay, where we see a bit of exploration, towns, how to talk to villagers, decisions, and how to be thrown into a pile of manure, actions that only happen in the Middle Ages.
As narrated in the video and as it was in the first installment, this game seeks to be a realistic RPG in every sense of the word where relationships, power and swordsmanship are everything but will not save us from death. Additionally, it has a whole system of consequences where the actions carried out by Henry, the protagonist, will influence his performance as well as the ease or difficulty of completing missions.
In the video we see not only a much improved combat system compared to the previous one, but also graphics that look much better, especially in the design of landscapes and environments. Other mechanics we saw were the crafting system, mounts, exploration, changing equipment and stealth.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will be released on February 11, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. It will be available in standard, gold, and collector’s editions. Read our first look here
