A couple of weeks ago, the media announced that Microsoft was in talks to buy Discord. However, it was mentioned that the chat platform decided to reject the offers, but that did not rule out the possibility of get back to negotiations soon. To the surprise of many, through the blog de Sony Interactive Entertainment, it was announced that Discord will start working hand in hand with Sony to improve the PlayStation social experience.
According to the statement, this experience will come to PlayStation early 2022 and it will not only focus its use on consoles, but also in mobile devices. The objective, as it could not be another, is improve user communication when playing. To reach this agreement, Sony made an investment in the platform of Jason Citron and Stan Vishnevskiy.
There are no further details of this partnership between Discord and Sony, but the statement indicates that they will soon be informing more about this project through their social networks.

Microsoft has more ambitious business with Discord than simply making it part of its gaming platforms.
