Elden Ring has received a new update for its PS5 version. This new version arrives to solve the errors that caused the loss of saved games on the Sony console, has confirmed The Verge. Likewise, the game has also received some improvements in its PC version.
This has been announced by FromSoftware, the developer company behind Elden Ring. Version 1.02.2 makes “changes to save game progression; even when the game hasn’t been finished,” FromSoftware confirmed on its Twitter account. In this way, the company put an end to the errors that users presented and that could cause the corruption of game save data.
The bug has been so infamous that Bandai Namco explained the reasons why it could arise. As they comment on their official website, this bug could occur in two ways. The first one was put your ps5 to sleep while you were in a game of Elden Ring. The second case can be if your console shuts down unexpectedly. Of course, either of these things happening didn’t guarantee your game would be ruined, but they were the most common ways to cause it.
Polygon comments that, prior to fixing the bug, FromSoftware urged players to “manually save the game by exiting the game on a regular basis.” Of course it was a rather tedious way, since the user had to exit the game and close it from the start of the PS5. A somewhat inappropriate method for the type of title we are talking about. However, it seems that it will no longer happen.
More news to Elden Ring
In addition, Elden Ring has received some news in its version for PC. Since its release, the title has received numerous criticisms due to its poor performance on computers; no matter the power or graphic settings of the game. Now, however, it seems that they have almost managed to solve it.
According to the official account of Elden Ring on Twitter, have solved a series of bugs that will improve performance on PC:
- Fixed a bug where the graphics card was not used, causing poor performance.
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when meeting certain conditions during a battle with the Fire Giant.
- Other bug fixes.
However, this patch is unlikely to fix other performance issues of Elden Ring. What we do know is that Bandai Namco He has promised to polish his star title over time. The company assured the following during the launch of the game: “We will constantly work to improve the game so that it can be played comfortably in various PC environments and platforms.” We just have to wait for future patches.
