Electronic Arts is one of the first companies to go back to the conference era of E3 2022. Although since 2016 it has held its own separate event called EA Play Livethis is normally done during the E3 framework, something that will not happen because it was confirmed that this year 2022 will not take place.
Two months ago the decision of once again hold E3 2022 as a virtual event due to COVID-19 (yet). With no EA Play Live this year, gamers will be left with one less stream in the summer and no franchise announcements like Battlefield, Go Sims O FIFA.
The information about not doing EA Play Live in 2022 was confirmed by a company representative, who told the outlet the following: IGN:
We love EA Play Live because it’s our way of connecting with our players and sharing updates with all of you. However, this year things are not lining up to show everything on one date. We have many exciting things happening in our world-class studios and this year we will reveal much more about these projects when the time is right for each of them.
In other words, everything EA is going to show this year will be in one-off ads. This unlike before when I was doing a dedicated stream. However, it is not ruled out that announcements will be made at other conferences such as the Xbox one, especially when talking about any news for Game Pass.
For a time EA participated in E3. In 2016, he began organizing EA Play Live, an unofficial space that usually took place shortly before E3. Here he not only made his announcements but also allowed users to try demos of his new games. The pandemic made it also become purely digital, until this year that it will no longer take place.
