Founded by Alex Seropian and Jason Jones in 1991, Bungie Software Products Corporation —Which would be renamed Bungie Studios after being acquired by Microsoft in 2000— is a studio that has played a formative role in the development of the FPS genre. While its early titles – all exclusive to Apple computers – went unnoticed, Bungie would make its mark on the industry through Halo: Combat Evolved (2001). This not only marked the beginning of one of the most iconic franchises in the industry, it made Bungie Studios synonymous with first-person shooter games.
Even after disengaging from Microsoft in 2007, Bungie continues to make people talk thanks to its second-best-known franchise: Destiny. For the last 7 years, the studio has been developing the history of this universe thanks to its ‘Game as a service’ model.
Now, to celebrate Bungie’s 30th anniversary, gamers from Destiny 2 they can now participate in a new event. They can then see everything that has arrived.
What content from the Bungie 30th Anniversary event will be available to all Bungie users? Destiny 2?
From today, the players of Destiny 2 can access Challenges of Eternity. This activity requires 6 Guardians to join forces via matchmaking to face hordes of enemies and impress a Star Horse as they explore Xûr’s cache of treasures.
As if that wasn’t enough, players will be able to get a new Exotic Pistol and its Catalyst. After completing the corresponding adventure step, they will receive Predecessor. Of course, this weapon is inspired by the iconic Magnum from Halo. You can learn more here.
Predecessor won’t be the only weapon inspired by Halo. Guardians can also get the Legendary Pulse Rifle Warrior BXR-55, based on the BR55HB SR Battle Rifle; the legendary sword Half truths, inspired by the Plasma Sword; the legendary tracking rifle Retransmitted road, based on the Type 52 Special Application Rifle; the legendary shotgun M5 of Paramero, inspired by the M90 Shotgun; and the legendary grenade launcher Sorry for the disturbances, based on the M319 Individual Grenade Launcher.
Additionally, the Bungie 30th anniversary event will bring new triumphs.

In addition to granting access to the dungeon Claws of GreedAllowing squads of 3 Guardians to explore the caverns of the Cosmodrome and claim the new hawthorn-themed armor sets, the Bungie 30th Anniversary Bundle will instantly unlock various rewards. These include the exotic Gjallarhorn missile launcher and its respective catalyst; Claymore sword of Myth; Legendary Weapons Pack Destiny; the exotic hummingbird Gjallarwing, the Marathon themed armor sets; and Bungie themed armor sets inspired by streetwear.
