various players of FIFA 23 on PS5 found they don’t have to wait for the Qatar World Cup to kick off in November to get a glimpse of its in-game World Cup equivalent. Thanks to this they discovered some of the options that it will offer.
Players were able to access this mode through the ‘Activities’ on PlayStation 5. One appeared in the multiplayer activities menu labeled ‘FIFA World Cup Online Quick Play’. Through this you could access the game mode, although it is clear that it is not yet finished or fully functional.
According to what we saw, among the options available in the World Cup mode of FIFA 23 will be FIFA World Cup Live, FIFA World Cup Kick-Off, Online Tournament y FIFA World Cup 2022.
EA has not officially commented on this curious error. We also don’t know when it will officially arrive in the game, although we assume it will be around the start date of the Qatar World Cup, which kicks off on Sunday, November 20, 2023.
