Square Enix revealed new information about the long-awaited sequel to FFVII Remake. Along with a new trailer, we were able to learn more details about the “new” characters Yuffie, Caith Sith and what their abilities will be in combat. Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth.

Let’s start by taking a look at the new trailer, which has scenes that haven’t been shown before. It was published in the franchise’s official channel on YouTube.

Now let’s see what awaits us when we control the new characters.

Yuffie

We were already able to control the ninja in the DLC FFVII Remake: Intergradebut let’s see what differences Yuffie has when we use her during the battles of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth.

  • Basic attacks: Yuffie hits enemies with her huge ninja star. Since her attacks are very fast, she charges her ATB bar faster than other characters. Additionally, while she uses her star, she can use ‘ninjitsu’ magic against her enemies.
  • Skills– Yuffie’s specialty is chaining attacks by changing her elemental affinity. She can also create a double and attack at the same time as it.
  • Unique ability– He can throw his star at enemies to maintain pressure at a distance and use ninjitsu magic of different elements.

Now we see what the other team member does

Throw a Sith

This curious little animal is mounted on a huge Mog and hides great secrets. Who knows if his story will have changed compared to the 1997 game…

  • Basic attacks: When we are in “cat form”, we can move and attack with great agility, if we are riding the Mog we will do more damage, but we will have less speed.
  • Skills: Caith Sith can call upon his mog and ride it to change his combat style. His other abilities can affect enemies or buff allies, but the result depends on luck.
  • Unique ability– When riding his mog, Caith Sith can use a powerful flying kick. In addition, his attacks will slowly fill the “mog meter”, allowing him to use the other skills that depend on luck.

Joint ability

If we have Yuffie and Caith Sith together in the fights of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirthwe can use their joint ability: Molino Moogle. This allows them to attack together with a “secret ninja technique.”

FFVII: Rebirth will go on sale on Thursday February 29, 2024. Initially it will be exclusive to PlayStation 5, but it should also arrive on PC in a few months.
