We’ve known for some time that Cold Iron Studios – a relatively new development team based in California, USA – was working on a franchise title. Alien. Finally we can take a first look at this project and know its name. Here’s the first trailer for the new game Aliens: Fireteam.
This title takes place in the year 2202, several decades after the original film trilogy. We will control a group of space marines heading to planet LV-895 in the outer colonies, answering a call for help.
The story is not original, what matters is that Aliens: Fireteam will give us the opportunity to face the threat of the xenomorphs next to our friends as if of a Left 4 Dead it will be, since it is a new cooperative game. In this case, we will form a group of three to fight the alien hordes.
We are going to find up to 20 types of enemies, including 11 different kinds of xenomorphs and the androids of Weyland-Yutani. To survive, we will have 30 types of weapons and we can choose five types of characters: Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doctor and Explorer. Each one will have special abilities and different customization options. The missions of the campaign will be different in each game thanks to a system of Challenge Cards.
Aliens: Fireteam coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC in the third quarter of 2021. At least Fortnite
