On April 13, the month of Ramadan will begin, one of the most important celebrations in the Muslim world, and Fortnite it will not be alien to it thanks to the Lantern Festival.
As is often the case with major events in the game, players will have access to a new bundle of outfits and cosmetic items, special challenges, and a cup. But there is a problem. This festival will be exclusive to the Middle East region and we will not be able to enjoy it in Colombia or the rest of the world
This seems somewhat unfair to us. Other events linked to cultural celebrations related to religions, such as Christmas or Easter, are available all over the world. Also, Muslims celebrating Ramadan are not limited to just that region. They are all over the world.
To celebrate the Ramadan Lantern Festival, Fortnite and Epic Games partnered with FFearFFul, one of the most popular streamers in the Middle East. The winner of the challenges proposed by this renowned influencer will take home $ 2,500 (more than 9 million Colombian pesos), the ‘lantern’ spray and a real copy of the SC3PT3R pica.
For his part, the runner-up will keep $ 1500 and a ‘flashlight’ spray. Finally, Third place will receive $ 1000 and same spray.
The Lantern Festival of Fortnite It will be available for the mentioned region until the end of the month of Ramadan on May 12, 2021. We hope that Epic Games will reconsider and make it available for everyone.
At least we will have Aloy, her cup and limited game mode to entertain us.
