Despite going on sale a couple of years ago, Among Us made the leap to fame in 2020 by being rediscovered by popular streamers and offering a game system that allowed us to socialize in a year in which we were confined to home. We knew the copycats weren’t going to delay, but we didn’t expect one of them to be Fortnite, another of the most popular games in the world, with its gameplay The Inner Spy.
This new MTL (limited time mode) is available from December 15, 2020. 10 players can participate and we will be randomly placed in one of two teams: agents and spies. We don’t know which team the others are on.
All eight agents must meet the objectives dictated by the game to collect gold coins and win. They must also work as a team to identify the impost… spies and vote to expel them from the game. For their part, the spies must eliminate all agents before they complete their objectives.
Voice chat cannot be used unless a meeting is called. In this, you can discuss the suspicions and vote on who to expel.
This MTL also comes with a number of new challenges. By completing them we can earn rewards such as an event-themed skateboard backpack and other Christmas cosmetics.
As you may notice, The Inner Spy of Fortnite is practically a copy of Among Us, which in turn is heavily inspired by board games like Mafia and Wolfman. The team of creators that made it happen were DolphinDom, KKSlider, Bunni_, Wert, Blanky, jstKamui, MackJack, Ritual, and Snownymous.
