Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon announced the final release date for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The next game based on the book franchise created by JRR Tolkien will be released next September 1st. It will be a single player title focused on the story from Gollum’s point of view, behind the scenes of the first chapters of The Fellowship of the Ring
Losing his precious (the One Ring) in the hands of Bilbo Baggins, Gollum decides to leave the Misty Mountains and embark on a dangerous journey. His path leads him through the dungeons of Barad-dur to the wood elf realm at Milkwood, searching for the esteemed one.
To survive the trek through Middle-earth – prior to his encounter with Frodo and Sam – Gollum must use his cunning, stealth and climbing skills to evade natural threats. This is not enough, because he must also deal with his other being, the only vague memory of his life as a Hobbit: Smeagol.
Will you make the right decisions as Gollum or let Smeagol take the reins? Several well-known characters from the books will also make cameo appearances in this new title, as well as characters created especially for the game.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum It will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. A version for Nintendo Switch would be released later.
