Guide to Art Scrolls and Pajarrotos

All possible futures, art, guide, Pajarrotos, Return Digital, Scrolls

Throughout The brave squire (The Plucky Squire) scattered throughout the stages are art scrolls that tell us a bit about the game’s development, with design sketches and early ideas. They’re not necessarily hard to find, as the story follows a linear path. But some of them might be missed and are slightly missable. That is, if you don’t get them at the right time, you’ll have to replay the chapter to get another chance.

Below we show the location of the different art scrolls in The brave squire (The Plucky Squire). In the pause menu, you can also review all the scrolls you have obtained and their respective unlocked illustration. Some of the collectible scrolls must be purchased at Martina’s mobile store for the sum of 10 spotlights.

Art scrolls in The brave squire (The Plucky Squire)

Scroll 1

The first collectible art scroll is as easy as it is accessible to obtain after meeting Violeta.

Scroll 2

This is the first one you should buy from Martina. Every time you meet her you should buy the one she has on hand.

Scroll 3

Make sure to cut bushes and hit trees with your sword, because besides spotlights, scrolls are hidden behind them.

Scroll 4

With Martina after helping the gluttonous cat.

Scroll 5

To the left of the field with strange electricity.

Scroll 6

With Martina near the broken bridge.

Scroll 7

To the left of the stacks of books.

Scroll 8

In the tree in the upper right corner at Barbaluna’s house.

Scroll 9

During Chapter 3 in the “real world” outside the book, towards the top left of the desk, following a white diagonal bridge.

Scroll 10

With Martina in chapter 4.

Scroll 11

In the section where you have to switch between day and night, hit the tree to the left to the north.

Scroll 12

On the side stage, you’ll find a hidden area with the scroll on the top right.

Scroll 13

Looking for the arrow bow, you must drag a block to take the hidden scroll.

Scroll 14

When you see a tilted bridge with zigzag figures drawn on it, on the right you can take the scroll.

Scroll 15

With Martina in the snail village.

Scroll 16

While searching for Violet and Crash, you can hit the tree southwest of the snail to get a scroll.

Scroll 17

In Chapter 5 when you arrive in Artia, there is a scroll in the green house to the left of the town.

Scroll 18

With Martina in Artia.

Scroll 19

To the right of Barbaluni following the path with a roll of ribbon, you will reach a white tube with the scroll inside.

Parchment 20

Follow the route with the “Hey!” sticker, passing the Rubik’s cube, a block with eyes and climbing onto a book-like shelf, to the right of which you’ll find the scroll.

Scroll 21

By rescuing all the erased inks or piggies, it is part of the story so it is not missable.

Scroll 22

On the way to meet the queen, to the right of the castle.

Scroll 23

In Chapter 6, dash to the top left of the map to find the scroll, by hitting the tree next to the star.

Scroll 24

With Martina after the zigzag bridge.

Scroll 25

On the dark page with the upper portal, before going down the stairs go to the bottom right to take the scroll.

Scroll 26

You now have a fabulous jetpack thanks to a rocket friend, unfortunately temporary until you collect the three pieces from his father. Fly to the left side of Barbaluni, where hitting a tree will reveal the scroll.

Scroll 27

Before you grab the third piece and enter a shooting minigame, fly over the balloon and retrieve that scroll.

Scroll 28

Inside the cup of the gelatinous king who asks you to light the anniversary candles, there is a parchment that cannot be missed because it cannot be seen with the naked eye without flying over it.

Scroll 29

After your first encounter with the guardian of Crash’s village, head underground and follow the footprints to grab the hidden scroll.

Parchment 30

With Martina near the Rockonejitos group.

Little birds in The brave squire (The Plucky Squire)

The Pajarrotos, as their name indicates, are birds born from a ‘glitch’ or graphic error during the development of The brave squire. Art scroll 25 tells us that story. A fabulous detail. Thanks game.

They are also collectible as you progress through the adventure.
