The game trilogy Hitman which started in 2016 became one of our favorite game series thanks to the freedom they offer, their sense of humor and excellent mechanics. The third game —which went on sale in 2021 and whose review you can read here— encompassed its two predecessors, becoming a single, enormous game. That’s why it makes sense that IO Interactive decided to change its name from Hitman III a Hitman: World of Assassination.
The Thursday, January 26, 2023, Hitman III will receive an update and will be renamed Hitman: World of Assassination, a name change that will give access to the entire ‘world of assassination’ experience. Those who already have the content of the first two games and their DLC will continue to have it. The interesting change will be for those who are going to buy the game for the first time.
From that date, we will not find Hitman, Hitman 2 in Hitman III in the digital stores of PlayStation, Xbox, Steam or Epic Games Store. They will be replaced by Hitman: World of Assassination. It will be priced at $70 (we are not yet clear on the price for Colombia) and will include the 21 main missions of the three games..
We can also buy the ‘deluxe’ package for an approximate price of $30. Includes both DLC maps of Hitman 2the two sniper maps, the ‘Seven deadly sins’ expansion, escalations, contracts and extra missions.
Don’t worry if you only have some DLC and not others. They will still be able to buy the ones they want independently through the in-game store.
This name change Hitman III a Hitman: World of Assassination (murder world) arrives just in time for the premiere of the ‘freelancer’ mode. This one will be inspired by roguelike style games.
