Another year, another dance game. Rather, “another annual song package for the same dance game” because since 2023 it has become a “content platform.” Every year we have a new edition with 40 songs, but the bulk of this game’s potential remains in the subscription service Just Dance+, which already has more than 400 songs. Taking this into account, is it worth Just Dance 2025 Edition? That is what we are going to analyze in this review.
In addition to the new songs, this 2025 edition also brings some changes and improvements to the platform on consoles that we are also going to learn about.
The main reason to want this game if you already have any of the previous ones is the new songs. Therefore, let’s start by listing the 40 new choreographies that this version includes.

There are some great selections here. Finally we can dance Poker Face by Lady Gaga and Basket Case is supremely fun, Ariana Grande’s three new songs will make her fans very happy and the drought is over for Shakira lovers, since the current selecti on of songs by the Colombian singer in Just Dance+ and previous versions of the game is really sad.
SpongeBob fans will also enjoy an original song that has the sponge who lives under the sea and his Patrick friend as guides. In fact, there are a handful of songs suitable for children, who are one of the main audiences for these games.
We have a good variety of choreographies and most of them are relatively easy. This is excellent news for the vast majority of players, but more “pro” players may be disappointed. An interesting novelty is that some songs – like Basket Case— have different difficulties depending on the teacher we choose, which means that a novice and an advanced player can enjoy playing together.
Control camera
It had already been implemented in beta version, but Just Dance 2025 will have camera control implemented from the beginning with many more songs. This system allows you to dance in “hands-free” mode using your cell phone as a camera that detects your movements.
In the past, this system had had some problems and although most of them are supposedly resolved, sometimes it seems that it does not correctly detect our movements. This can depend a lot on the type of phone they use, the quality of their camera and how much we move during a song. If you are the type that moves back and forth constantly, you may notice errors from one moment to the next. It may work perfectly for you. The problem, of course, is that it only works in choreographies for a single player.
The “problem” of Just Dance+
It’s time to make the same complaint that I made in my reviews of the editions of 2023 y 2024. The 40 new songs included in Just Dance 2025 Edition They’re not bad at all and they’re a good amount, but the real grace of the game is in the hundreds of songs that we have access to through the Just Dance+ subscription service.
Having to pay more than 200,000 pesos for a subscription, apart from the cost of the base game, seems excessive to us, especially if we have to pay again a year later to maintain the subscription. We regret that there is no longer the option to pay only for the songs we want.
