What’s new in the Fighting Ground, Battle Hub and World Tour game modes Street Fighter 6 (SF6) revealed at TGS 2022
From the first announcement of Street Fighter 6 (SF6), we already had an idea of what the World Tour mode would look like. Thanks to one of the new advances of Street Fighter 6 (SF6), shared by Capcom in its Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2022 online presentation, we have been able to see the customization detail that the title has for player avatars. The customization options, for the World Tour mode avatars of SF6range from facial lines, different body styles, hair and even customization of movements.
World Tour
The freedom of the character creator of the World Tour mode of Street Fighter 6 (SF6) is so much that some players think that some of the designs seen in the trailer are made on purpose to resemble characters from the franchise The King of Fighters from SNK.
Some even think that this is a “wink” at a possible Capcom Vs. SNK. Something that, although it is not impossible, we do think it is unlikely.
Battle Hub
Battle Hub mode Street Fighter6 (SF6) is technically the lobby for online multiplayer. Here we can customize our avatars, from the World Tour mode, to interact with players from all over the world in casual games, classification (‘ranking’) and even tournaments.
Additionally, there are places where we can play classic Capcom titles from the ‘arcade’ era. These titles can be played against the computer in a free way or in ranked mode, which will take our best score with a single credit to compete with players from all over the world.
It should be noted that the ranking points that will be handled in the online mode or Battle Hub of Street Fighter6 (SF6) will be individual for each character we control. That is, unlike SF5in Street Fighter 6 we can look for qualifying matches with characters that we do not control perfectly without fear of losing the rank.
Extreme Battle
This mode will allow players to set up fights against the CPU or other players with special rules. Some of these elements are dangers on stage, elements such as giant balls or even a Met from the franchise. Mega Man among other elements that can be added to the fights in this new mode of Street Fighter6 (SF6). Other customization options for fights in Extreme Battle also allow you to change some rules to the fights. That is to say that we can configure a fight in Extreme Battle mode of Street Fighter6 (SF6) so that victory goes to the person who makes their opponent hard knockdown five times.
How do Dhalsim, Blanka, E. Honda and Ken fight in Street Fighter 6 (SF6)?
The trailer that very briefly introduced Dhalsim, Blanka, E. Honda and Ken in Street Fighter 6 (SF6) let us see their new designs and how they fight. Many of his classic moves are featured in the new trailer alongside some new ones. Among these new movements we highlight, apart from some of the overdrive arts that were seen, Blanka’s new ability to summon a “mini Blanka” to be able to coordinate attacks and situations similar to those that Carl Clover can do in Blazblue.
Dhalsim has his head dive kick back and many of the techniques he gained in SF5. Additionally, his overdrive art has been compared to some of Luffy’s techniques from One Piece.
Ken Master and E. Honda
E. Honda is the character that could be seen the least in the new trailer for Street Fighter6 (SF6), presented during the first day of the Tokyo Game Show. However, it should be noted that he has a couple of moves that allow him to leave his opponent in the air to finish the punishment with a ‘headbutt’.
Ken Master, like most of the ‘shoto’, is not the kind of character that has big changes from one version of Street Fighter to another However, in SF6 -Ryu’s best friend- has a new movement called Jinrai Kick, which can be seen in the trailer that has a couple of variations. Other of the new aerial movements in its EX version will be able to leave the opponent in a ‘juggle’ state to continue optimizing the damage.
