A few days ago we introduced you to Newcastlethe character that will be added to Apex Legends with the arrival of the Saviors update, and it’s time to learn more about him, his story and the abilities he will use on the battlefield.
What is the history of Newcastle?
In his introduction trailer we learn that “the superhero of Harris Valley” is actually Jackson Williams, the brother of Bangalore. He was believed missing during a mission in which he was a pilot for the IMC.
Thanks to the most recent ‘Story of the Wild Lands’ we learn that Jackson changed his identity and started a family. But the original Newcastle got into serious trouble and Bangalore’s brother must adopt his identity and take part in the games to save the community from him.

What will Newcastle’s abilities be in Apex Legends?
We already knew that this character will be focused on defending his team with powerful shields. Let’s find out exactly what he can do:
- Passive – Retrieve the Wounded: Using your Revive Shield, Newcastle he can protect himself and his teammates from enemy fire while reviving and leading his allies to safety.
- Tactical – Mobile Shield: Newcastle creates an energy shield that adapts to different combat situations on the battlefield.
- Ultimate – Castle Wall: Pulling out his shield Newcastle jump and hit the ground to raise a gigantic fortress.

When will Newcastle get to the game?
