Judgement, known in Japan as Judge’s Eyes, was a ‘spin-off’ of the Yakuza saga that quickly became a ‘hit’ for Sega and soon we will be able to play its sequel: Lost Judgement. Part of that success, especially in his home country, is undoubtedly due to the presence of actor Takuya Kimura, one of the greatest Japanese celebrities.
However, Kimura himself may be the cause of this video game series coming to an end.
According to the publication of celebrity Nikkan Taishu, the saga will come to an end with Lost Judgement. The reason there won’t be a third party, according to the magazine’s insider, is that “The representatives of the studio and the talent agency that manages Takuya Kimura could not reach an agreement regarding the platforms on which the game will be released”.
Apparently, the platform of discord is PC. When it was announced Lost Judgement, various websites mentioned Windows 10 and Steam alongside PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox One. This was quickly changed and Sega denied that the game was going to be released on PC.
According to rumors, the opposition of Takuya Kimura’s agency to the release of the game on PC is due to the extreme zeal with which they handle the image of their associates. They seem to fear that players may use their client’s face to create ‘mods’ or parodies. However, Sega insists on having these games on that platform.
It seems that this will be the end of the saga Judgement
