The first time we saw Nagoriyuki was in EVO 2019 when Daisuke Ishiwatari presented the first trailer for Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, before we knew what the official title name. However, we would not see Nagoriyuki in action until the first edition of the Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable. This event, which brought together the different developers of fighting video games in Japan, had a space for Guilty Gear -STRIVE-. This is how Nagoriyuki and Leo Whitefang were featured in a video. Now Arc System Works has released a sneak peek, revealing Nagoriyuki’s movements in Guilty Gear -STRIVE- and how these can be used in combat.

The details about Nagoriyuki’s role in the story of Guilty Gear -STRIVE- they are still unknown. However, what we can talk about is its appearance. Nagoriyuki’s name in Japanese means “persistent snow.” This is a sentimental phrase, which refers to out-of-season snowfall in spring.
How does Nagoriyuki fight in Guilty Gear -STRIVE-?
Thanks to the video we have been able to see how Nagoriyuki fights in Guilty Gear -STRIVE- is a character with reduced mobility in the air. Meanwhile, when he is on the ground he can control the opponent from medium distance thanks to the range of his blows. However, when Nagoriyuki enters the “Blood Rage” state, her range increases and she can even punish the opponent from one end of the screen. These improvements in his abilities have a cost, since when Nagoriyuki is in the “Blood Rage” state, life will be consumed quickly and he will not be able to use any special moves until the state ends or he cancels it with the super technique called Zansetsu.
