2024 has been a great year for the franchise Hunter x Hunter. Since, the manga I return for a few chapters to Shonen Jump and we also learned about the game Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impactdeveloped by Eighthing—responsible for Mavel Vs. Capcom 3 y Tatsunoku Vs. Capcom—. Throughout this year, Arc System Works—responsible for the distribution of Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact in our region.
Morel Mackernasey, ua giant with a fearsome reach
With his stocky appearance and giant pipe, Morel might seem like a slow and clumsy character. However, this first impression is misleading. The former instructor of the Extermination Brigade demonstrates in his presentation trailer of Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact that its size and unconventional weapon are actually a huge advantage on the battlefield.
One of the most notable features of Morel is its reach. Thanks to his large size and his pipe, he can land blows or even extend his combos to his opponents from distances that other characters simply cannot reach. This advantage allows him to control the pace of the fight and keep his enemies at bay. The Morel pipe is much more than a simple object. It is an extension of his Nen, a versatile and lethal weapon. He can use it to perform a variety of attacks, from bludgeoning blows to smoke projectiles. Additionally, the pipe serves as an anchor for his smoke manipulation abilities.
One of Morel's most impressive abilities is his smoke dolls. These ephemeral beings, created from the smoke of his pipe, are capable of imitating his movements and carrying out complex attacks. Smoke Dummies can attack from multiple angles, distracting the opponent and creating opportunities for devastating combos.
What are the characters of Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact?
Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact will have an initial roster of 16 characters, of which we already know 11. It should be noted that Megumi Han, Mariya Ise, Keiji Fujiwara, Miyuki Sawashiro, Daisuke Namikawa and Banjo Ginga – the same seiyu from the 2011 anime – return in Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact.
