Bushiroad Games has started showing how it looks and plays Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact, the 3 vs. fighting game 3 developed by Eighting. Bushinroad from day one of EVO Japan 2024 revealed the first trailer of Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact. Additionally, several professional players and those attending EVO Japan 2024 have been able to try out the game and have shared fights and impressions from their gaming sessions.
How to play Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact?
The first trailer of Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact, revealed at the start of EVO Japan 2024, also shows the first characters that will be available in the fighting game. Additionally, thanks to those attending EVO Japan 2024, details of the gameplay of the Eighting title have been revealed.
This is the combat system of Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact
- Impact on Foot: an attack that launches the opponent forward.
- Crouching Impact: an attack that launches the opponent into the air and can be continued jumping immediately.
- Penetrating Attack: a powerful attack that advances while nullifying the opponent’s guard.
- Penetrating Technique: an emergency switch with another team member while blocking.
- Rebound Arts: pushes the opponent back while blocking.
- Unison Arts: call all team members and release Aura Arts at the same time.
- Overgear: Increases the attack power of the entire team for a set period of time. Cancels damage received when protecting. The health bar enters a recovery state during combat while Overgear is activated.
- Quick Gear: Temporarily strengthens the player by consuming the Recovery Bar.
- Assist Attack: Calls a team member to perform a cover attack.
- Ejection Attack: knocks the opponent’s character off stage and is replaced by another team member.
- Reversal Switch: disables the opponent’s breaking attack and opens a small distance if successfully performed.
- Switching Arts: allows you to perform an Aura Art on another party member while making one. The team member left in the fight is the last to execute a Switching Art.
- Switch: change places with another character on the team.
What are the characters of Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact?
Bushiroad has revealed at EVO Japan 2024, in addition to the six initial characters – Hisoka, Netero, Leorio, Killua, Kurapika and Gon – other fighters who will be part of Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact. Uvogin and Machi Komacine, two of the founding members of the Phantom Brigade (Gen’ei Ryodan), will join the previously named characters to make up the initial roster of 16 players that will have Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact.
Additionally, Bushiroad Games shared a trailer of several of the characters available in the demo. Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact which is exhibited at Evo Japan 2024. It should be noted that Megumi Han, Mariya Ise, Keiji Fujiwara, Miyuki Sawashiro, Daisuke Namikawa and Banjo Ginga —same seiyu from the anime Hunter Hunter from 2011 they return in Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact
