Overwatch 2 will change its progression and reward systems, offers free cosmetics

Upcoming changes to rewards in Overwatch 2

Through an official publication, Blizzard announced that it is working on several changes for the game. Some will arrive in Season 2, and some will take a bit longer. Regarding the progression and reward systems, they said they are not satisfied with the current state of affairs. They want players to feel rewarded just for sitting down to play, no matter if they lose games.

To start, will make changes to the way rewards are awarded in Overwatch 2 starting in season 2, making each event have an outfit or ‘skin’ that can be won for free, just by playing. Starting in Season 3, they will make changes to Battle Passes, Challenges, and other progression systems. They will reveal more about that later.
