Great news for PlayStation fans. To celebrate 30 years since the debut of the original PlayStation in Japan, Sony has announced limited editions of the digital PS5, the PS5 Prothe DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers and the PlayStation Portal. They all inherit the distinctive look of the legendary console that hit the Japanese market on December 3, 1994.
As can be seen in the official imagesconsoles and other devices and accessories have received the characteristic grey colour of the PS1as well as the original multi-coloured PlayStation logo. Both the PS5 and PS5 Pro will be offered alongside other collectible items such as a poster, a sticker, a paper clip in the shape of the PlayStation logo and four allegorical cable ties.
Also included is a USB-C cable with a housing on one end that emulates the connector on the original PlayStation controllers and a cover for the disc drive. Note, however, that the Blu-ray drive is not included with either limited edition console, so those who want one must purchase it separately. Both combos do provide a vertical stand, however.
Sony indicates that both the digital PS5 and the PS5 Pro to celebrate 30 years of PlayStation will be available in very limited quantities. Although they have only mentioned how many of the Pro variant there will be, which will be only 12,300 for the whole world and will have the corresponding identification number engraved on them. It is already clear that it will be quite difficult to get one of them and there will surely be a war without quarter with speculators and scalpers.
What do the limited edition PS5 and PS5 Pro bundles include?
As we previously indicated, the limited edition PS5 and PS5 Pro to celebrate 30 years of PlayStation will not only feature a design inspired by the original console, but will also come with additional items (poster, sticker, disc drive cover, etc.). Although there will also be some important differences between one combo and another.
In the case of the PS5 digital 1TB, Sony will accompany it with a DualSense controller identical in color to the console. If you opt for the PS5 Pro 2TB, while the limited edition will include a DualSense, a DualSense Edge with its case and a charging base for both controllers.
It is worth mentioning that allegorical versions of the PlayStation Portal and the DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers will be available for purchase separately and independentlyAt the moment, the manufacturer has not commented on how many units of these accessories will be available.
Price and availability
The million dollar question here is How much will the limited edition PS5 and PS5 Pro cost?as well as the rest of the accessories celebrating the 30th anniversary of the original PlayStation. Unfortunately, we still have no answer. Sony has not mentioned prices, so we will have to wait a little longer to have official details on this.

There will also be availability through other retail distribution chainsbut not much else has been revealed about it.
