A journey through the kingdom of Euchronia
The story of Metaphor: ReFantazio takes place in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, where the protagonist, accompanied by his faithful fairy companion Galica, embarks on a mission to rescue the prince from a curse. During this journey, the protagonist awakens an Archetype, which grants him special powers to confront the person responsible for the curse and the murder of the king.
The death of the monarch triggers the Royal Tournament, a competition where the people’s faith will decide the next king. In the midst of the chaos, the protagonist decides to participate in the tournament to get closer to Louis, the culprit of the recent events. Thus begins a journey through the kingdom aboard the Gauntlet Runner, a mechanical carriage that will be key in our electoral adventure through the world of Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Exploration, decisions and combats
The game offers the player freedom to explore towns and dungeons. In addition, in Metaphor: ReFantazio —just like in Persona— you can interact with characters.
