This trailer —in addition to showing us a comparison between the original game from 2015 and the remaster for PC and PS5 from 2024— also confirms the release date of Until Dawn Remaster.
The new visual effects have been rebuilt from scratch in Until Dawn Remaster. This is taking the original game as a reference. The comparison images in the trailer show improved facial animations in several scenes of Until Dawn Remasteramong which the characters of Michael Munroe (Brett Dalton) and Samantha Giddings (Hayden Panettiere) stand out.
Other scenes in the remaster have seen changes to the photography. A scene in which Mike is caught in a bear trap is shown with a new depth of field that puts more emphasis on his wound.
On the other hand, the Ouija scene includes new shots with the cast’s reactions that were not in the original game. Some sequences in the game show a more active camera, have newly arranged music and wider angles. It is worth noting that Until Dawn Remaster will run under Unreal Engine 5.
