On June 14, during a special presentation celebrating 10 years of the game’s launchthe Yacht Club Games studio announced something we did not expect. Shovel of Knight: Shovel of Hope DX It will be an improved version of the original game released in 2014 that will include tons of new features and options, including more than 20 playable characters.

Some of the new features that will be Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX in relation to the original game are the following:
- We can save the game anywhere and rewind the action. (Coincidentally, something we wrote about today).
- More than 20 playable characters.
- Linear and local multiplayer
- Return of classic options such as the Phantom Arena, the custom Shovel Knight and body type change.
- Bonus straights
- «Cheats» with all kinds of effects (giant characters, rotating screen, etc.)
This new improved version of Shovel Knight will reach all current consoles and PC in a date not yet revealed, but it is expected this year.
