It hasn’t been long since Pinhead and Mikaela joined Dead by DaylightBut now we can take a look at the next killer and survivor who will be joining in the “Portrait of a Murderer” season: meet The Artist, Jonah Vasquez and their skills.
These two characters are already available on the PTB (Player Test Build) test server, but they will officially arrive in the game on an as-yet unknown date of November 2021.
The Artist, whose real name is Carmina Mora, was a talented Chilean painter and poet who bore the blame for the death of her brother and has a supernatural bond with the crows, which was increased when she was murdered and mutilated by a mysterious man who then suffered his revenge.
During the game, you can summon crows that attack the survivors and reveal their positions.
The Perks of the Artist in Dead by Daylight

- Grim Embrace (Grim Embrace): Every time a survivor is hung on a hook, this ability gains a ‘token’. Upon getting four, The Entity blocks all generators for 20/25/30 seconds. The Aura of ‘Obsession’ is revealed for four seconds.
- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance– At the start of a game, four random hooks become Hooks of the Plague (revealed in white). When a survivor is hung on one of them, the generator with the highest progression explodes, losing 9/12/15% of the progress. If a survivor was repairing it, it will scream, revealing its position.
- Hex: Repentance (Hechizo: Repentance)– Reveals the aura of purified Totems and allows you to perform a ritual on them to rekindle them.
- 1 Totem: Reduces the repair speed of generators by 20/25/30%
- 2 Totems: reduce the healing speed of survivors by 20/25/30%
- 3 Totems: reduce the recovery speed of survivors by 20/25/30%
- 4 Totems: Reduces the speed at which survivors open the doors by 20/25/30%
- 5 Totems: all Totems are consumed by The Entity
Now let’s talk about the survivor. Although it does not seem like it, Jonah Vasquez is a mathematical genius who was hired by the CIA, until the discovery of a mysterious sequence of numbers obsessed him and ended up taking him to the world of The Entity.
Jonah Vasquez’s Perks in Dead by Daylight
- Overcome– When hit, retain speed bump for two seconds. Causes ‘Exhausted’ status for 60/50/40 seconds.
- Corrective Action– Start the game with 1/2/3 ‘tokens’ and earn one more with each successful skill check up to a maximum of five. Every time a survivor who cooperates in repairing a generator fails a skill check, he spends a ‘token’ to make it successful.
- Boon: Exponential– Holding the button down on a powered down or hex totem transforms it to create a 24 meter range that increases recovery speed by 90/95/100% and allows automatic recovery in the ‘dying’ state .
