Has it happened to you that you buy a game just to see it given away on a subscription service days later? It’s mad, isn’t it? Well, who acquired Maneater days before will announce that it will be part of PS Plus they have no reason to feel that way, as Sony is reimbursing them for their purchase.
Some Reddit users who purchased Maneater digitally report that they received an automated email from Sony with the following text:
«We are going to reimburse the cost of purchasing this product to your PS Store wallet since you are a PS Plus subscriber and this will be one of the games offered on this service. This will not affect your ability to play the game and we have not removed it from your library.
One of the users who report receiving the email reports that he bought the game in November. This means that Sony is taking into account a considerable amount of time from purchasing Maneater for refund eligibility.
Since Sony allows these players to keep the original license of Maneater, it will not disappear from their libraries if they decide to stop paying for their access to PS Plus.
This is great news and we hope to see it expanded to other games. At the moment we have not heard reports of refunds for those who bought recently Shadow of the Tomb Raider O Greedfall. Is it only for the PS Plus titles for PS5?
