We cannot deny that Crystal Dynamics is “putting the tab” to its title on the Avengers, because in recent weeks we have been able to enjoy some surprises. During the last couple of weeks we were able to participate again in Possession of the Red Room with new rewards and now we have a new in-game event Marvel’s Avengers: Family Reunion, the first ‘Omega level threat’.
What are Omega level threats?
These are high difficulty missions that require a team of four players with a minimum level of 145 (read how to get to level 150). In these missions we can obtain equipment of the highest level. Crystal Dynamics revealed that they are considering the possibility that we can get one of these pieces of gear per character for each week. At the moment, we only get equipment when we finish the mission for the first time.
The game’s first Omega level threat Marvel’s Avengers, Family Reunion, is a more difficult version of the mission of the same name that we already played at the end of the ‘End AIM’ campaign. The most notable change is the increased difficulty of the boss: Super Adaptoid. We will also have special modifiers and a time limit.

We can play this mission when the game Marvel’s Avengers be updated to version 1.8.2. the July 27, 2021.
Other changes included in that update will be:
- Mega Hives can be played with other people, not just solo.
- Several players will be able to choose the same heroes to participate in the same mission.
