Hollywood being Hollywood – or rather the Krasinskis – first presented us with a post-apocalypse very similar to that of The Last of Uswhere noise is a magnet for voracious creatures. These aliens are back in A Quiet Place: Day Onethe prequel and third film that takes us to the beginnings of the invasion in the traditional city of New York. A few weeks ago, Saber Interactive and Stormind Games presented the trailer for the first game in the franchise, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead.
In that trailer we barely saw that it would be in first person, following the premise of the films, where avoiding making noise is the main objective. In this new trailer we see a little more of the protagonist, who not only suffers from asthma and therefore represents a greater risk of survival. It turns out that she is also pregnant and we already know how that turned out in the films.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead tells the story of Alex, our protagonist, 105 days after the arrival of the invaders with super hearing. This college student must cross a post-apocalyptic landscape with her boyfriend Martín. She will face interpersonal and family conflicts, apart from the highly feral creatures seen in greater detail in the prequel. Day one. As the gameplay demands, you’ll need to make as little noise as possible. While everyone would expect the game to make use of a microphone to measure it in real time, that won’t be the case.
In between the cutscenes there is a car chase with shotgun fire, so the developers are not entirely opting for a silent game.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead It does not yet have a release date on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 y Xbox Series X/S.
