Logitech has revealed all the details and prices of its new Logitech G products focused on the world gaming during the Logi Play 2024 presentation. At PS5 we had access to several previous presentations to learn in detail about some of the announcements and how their gaming accessories were improved.
At the presentation, Logitech highlighted that it worked closely with professional gamers eSports to design and improve these items, with a special focus on high-performance mice and keyboards.
G915 X: The Low Profile Mechanical Keyboard
One of the most notable products was the G915 Xdescribed as “one of the wireless keyboards for gaming Logitech’s thinnest low-profile keyboards. Unlike the previous model, this one features redesigned galvanic switches, replacing the hook mechanism with a cross POM one, improving key stability and providing a quieter and more precise typing experience.
Other improvements include a reduced actuation point from 1.5 to 1.3 mm for faster response and double-shot PBT keycaps for increased wear resistance. The aluminum top plate has also been reinforced, increasing its thickness to improve the keyboard’s structural strength.
He G915 X offers KEYCONTROLa feature that allows you to turn any key into a macro that combines multiple commands with a single press. It also features connectivity trimodo: LIGHTSPEED 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired, in an attempt to offer “different options to gamers” when it comes to keyboard connectivity. Battery life has been significantly improved, offering, according to Logitech, up to 800 hours of continuous use with the backlighting off and up to 36 hours with RGB brightness at 100%.
The G915 X series models will be available starting September 17, 2024 in the United States with the following prices:
- G915 X Lightspeed (full size): $230.
- G915 X Lightspeed TKL: $200.
- G915 X Wired: $180.
The wireless versions will be available in black and white, while the wired version will only be available in black. Prices for the devices in Colombia and other Latin American countries are not yet known.
G Pro X Superlight 2 Dex Lightspeed: New Technology for Esports Mice
Another of the notable announcements was that of the G Pro X Superlight 2 Dex Lightspeeda wireless esports mouse designed for right-handed users. In the preview presentation we had access to, the emphasis was on the technology Dex(of skill, like the star of many video games) that like some of the new releases, has been developed in collaboration with professional players of eSports. One of the features is that it offers an 8 kHz polling rate, which guarantees, according to Logitech, extremely fast and responsive performance. The Hero 2 sensor has been redesigned to provide better tracking, with speeds of more than 888 inches per second and acceleration greater than 88G.
The mouse also features Lightforce switches that combine optical sensing for instant actuation and a mechanical component for tactile feedback and low power consumption. The presentation said it was made with up to 55% recycled ABS plastic and also weighs only 60 grams. It is also compatible with Logitech’s PowerPlay wireless charging system.
The G Pro X Superlight 2 Dex will be available starting September 17, 2024 for $160, also with no specific arrival price in Colombia.
Pro X TKL Rapid: The first professional “trigger-sensitive” keyboard
Logitech G also introduced the Pro X TKL Rapida magnetic analog keyboard with adjustable actuation points and quick trigger functionality. Its actuation points and settings can be adjusted instantly without the need for software.
When we talk about trigger-sensitive keyboards, we are referring to those keyboards that allow you to “spam” keys at full speed and that allow gamers greater precision. This keyboard will be available in December 2024 for $170.
Pro 2 Lightspeed: an update to the classic G Pro
He Pro 2 Lightspeed is the evolution of the iconic Pro Wireless mouse, featuring an ambidextrous design and cutting-edge components. This mouse features the Hero 2 sensor, capable of reaching 32,000 DPI and over 500 IPS of acceleration. Although it does not support wireless charging, it can be used with the Pro Lightspeed receiver to obtain an 8 kHz polling rate.
Astro A50 5th Gen with Playsync Audio
Los Astro A50 They are renewed once again and in the fifth generation that was presented, they include the function Playsync Audioallowing gamers to switch between up to three consoles (including Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch) via USB-C with the press of a button. Equipped with PRO-G graphene drivers, gamers can customize their audio experience using G HUB and the Logitech G mobile app.
The price is somewhat expensive since it is at USD$300, however it is quite convenient for those who use all these gaming platforms, especially between Xbox devices and other consoles where there is usually no compatibility due to the different standards.
