Last weekend, a new date of the World Warrior was held in South America, which seeks to qualify the best players in our region for the final of Capcom Cup XI, which will face the best 48 players in the world at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo (Japan) at the beginning of 2025. Five online tournaments are held in each region, each awarding points that are used to rank players in that region. In Super Regions, the top player on the points leaderboard from the 5 regular World Warrior tournaments automatically qualifies for the Capcom Cup. The Regional Finals will then be contested by the top 8 remaining players on the points leaderboard, except that qualification for the Regional Finals is based solely on the highest total points earned in World Warrior events. However, regular World Warrior regions such as South America, East, and West will not have an auto-qualification slot for the top spot on the leaderboard.
These regional finals for South America, East and West will pit the top four players from their respective leaderboards against each other. They will qualify for a double-elimination bracket on the winners side, while the remaining four players will qualify for the Top 8 of the regional finals in the loser bracket. The winner of each regional final will qualify for Capcom Cup XI and have a chance to compete for a $1 million prize pool.
